Resource Problem

I'm beginner on Visual C++( MFC ) and, can you tell me how do I make my own edit resource for one dialog box. The way that show on book is like press RESOURCE at INSERT menu and then enter resource type ( dialog ), and I don't want this way because the dialog's edit text is already done. Another thing is : if I press New Text File ( below the FILE ) , and put everything I want and later include in my Project , when build the application shows : "Fatal error RC1004: unexpected end of file found" . Please help ! What I have to do ?

unexpected end of file means the whole file is analyzed and reached the end, but the comiler expects something else, for example a ; or a } or something like that. Or there is some keyword like END that is smissing.
