I have around 35 individual plans all pulling from one central resource pool. All plans, plus the resource pool, are stored in the same folder on a network drive. There are a couple of problems that I suspect may be related, but I can't pin them down.
Problem 1. Plans become mysteriously unlinked from the resource pool. I run a check to ensure that all plans are linked - a few days later, one or more plans are unlinked.
Problem 2. The plan remains linked to the resource pool, but if you check the pool to see which plans are linked, the file path has changed. For example, the plan is stored at \\phlsfs01\RIS$\Projects. However MS Project is showing that the file is at \\phlsfs01\share$\RIS\Projects. On occasions, it will show the same project plan linked from both file paths, thereby doubling the resources required by a specific project.
I have spoken to the network administrators who have been unable to shed any light on this issue, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
