Resource loading days and hours Project 2003

For most of my MS Projects (2003) I load the task duration in days but want to really show total hours per task per day especially if there are other projects.

i.e.
A 6 hour task that takes 3 days (2hrs of resource per day)

If I say 6 hours MS Project assumes 8 hrs per day. I cant reset reource work time because the next task(s) might be 6 or 8 hours in one day and so on.

So if I just say 3 days the resource looks over used.

Q> Do I set the time with a forced constraint to maintain my calendar?

What is the best solution?

I really don't understand what you're trying to accomplish here. What's wrong with the View | Resource usage display?
