You cannot. (30 seconds of reflection will tell you why this cannot happen.)
If the duration is too long then first review tasks on the critical path and reallocate resources assigned to those tasks. Note that shortening the duration of a critical path task may take it off the critical path and put other tasks on the critical path. It is an iterative process.
