Can anyone give us information on how to improve the way that Windows 98 handles its system resources.
We have an application that has to run on Windows98. Certain screens within the application eat up the Win98 resources and when you come off the particular screen Win98 doesn't release them.
Because of this we are unable to run other applications on the PC's at the same time else the PC's lock up, the only way to then release the taken up resources is to reboot.
We've tried increasing the size of the paging file, booting up with only necessary startup files etc but are still stuck with same problem.
Any hints, tips or apps that would help release resources periodically without having to reboot are very much appreciated.
Thanks
TobyT
