Resotring to client hangs

Heres my setup:-

eurcomunx001 -- netbackup server

lsi --netbackup client
lsi3 --netbackup client

whenever i restore to lsi this works fine, but whenever i install to lsi3 it just hangs and no restore job comes up in the Activity monitor GUI.

Also no logs are written to the following dir: /usr/openv/netbackup/logs/user_ops/dbext/logs

Can anyone think why.
ps. the exact procedure is followed on both machines. The only difference is that lsi has both the server and client software installed whereas lsi3 only has client software installed. I am also aware of changing the bp.conf each time.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like it is waiting for media. What does preview tell you before you go to restore? Does the media it is looking for reside in the library??
