I initially put this on the wrong forum. Sorry for the duplication

------------

I was having difficulty reaching a particular vendors VPN website. They gave me the address but it ended up taking me to google.com instead of the specific site I was after. They said I had an issue with my DNS server name being properly resolved. I reveresed the forward slash to a backwords slash and it worked. By all practical purposes it shoudnt have. It has been told me to me in the past that this can work to resolve the differences between differnt OS servers running. sounds fishy but again it Worked. What is the offical word? Many thanks in advance
