Hello Everyone,
We have fifteen sites and then our corporate head office. The corporate head office is our main server and citrix farm. Our sites are all connected with NetSceen 5gt or 5gt plus' and our main office is a NetScreen 50. How would I go about configuring the remote sites to be able to query and ping computers in other sites via DNS names if these other sites did not have domain controllers locally? I know there would be traffic across the link back to the primary domain controller. These routers are all configured with DHCP but are not managed by us. If I ensured the DNS servers for the AD domain were included as DNS serves in the list in the dhcp pool on the routers should that in essence be able to provide us with the option to ping via hostname from these remote sites? The router should then be able to house it own dynamic host file which it could poll the AD DNS servers in the case of a host name change?
Thanks for your assistance.
Thanks
