Need help on trying to resolve a IP address to it's mod/port address on Catalyst 5000. What's the command?

If you can get the mac address you can use sh cam to 'resolve' its port/mod number.
I dont think there is a way on the switch itself to resolve the ip address since it functions at layer 2 and ip is layer 3.

If you have a router you can match the IP to the mac in the arp tables then do the sh cam on the switch to get the port.

Brian
