Im sure its simple but I don't recall.
I have the MAC address of a computer on my network, how do i resolve that to the IP address.
working in a Windows enviornment.
Use google to find a (gui) tool that supports RARP. ARP is used to find a MAC addres if you have an IP adres. RARP is the other way around. I presume that you are looking for the IP addres of a remote computer, otherwise the question would be very strange.

Since we're working with Sniffer Pro, you can bring up the Monitor's Host Table function, locate and highlight the MAC address in question, and click on the Capture icon at the left of of the Host Table window.
You'll then see all frames sent to and from that MAC address, which should make finding its IP address a breeze. Of course, if the MAC address is a router, you'll see multiple IP addresses riding on it.
