Hello.

I've got a weird problem.
On one of my webservers (haven't noticed the problem on any other at least) I have a problem with the two webservices.
The server call on external webservices (let's call the hostnames server.hostname.com and server123.host.com) to verify user identity and get users personal information.
However the application reports errors from time to time. The errorfile lists "Unable to resolve server.hostname.com" and server123.host.com"

The external part holding the user information can't find any problem on their end. Their other customers haven't reported any issues either.
This leads me to think the error is on my end/in my environment.

I made a loop and tried connecting to the webservices once a minute, logged every attempt and left it running for 24 hours.
The logfile had all successfull attempts except for an "can't resolve error" once ever 4 hours.

What could be the reason that I get this with a 4 hour interval? These are four timestamps. 17:58, 22:00, 02:01, 06:02

This is my setup.
The server is Windows 2008 R2, set to resolve against two internal DNS-severs
The two internal DNS-servers are NOT the one resolving the hostname. They forward the request. The DNS-servers are BIND installed under Suse
As far as i know, no updates are done to the network, internal dns-servers etc that can explain the glitch.

What should I do next?

I don't want to put the two entries in a local hosts-fil unless I really have to. Perhaps I should do it for troubleshooting reasons?
To rule out problems in external DNS-servers?

Thanks in advance.
