I'm a new user of Publisher wanting to create a long document with multiple images in it (jpegs). I therefore want to minimize file size by linking rather than inserting images. On experimenting I find that the resolution of images that are linked (as opposed to inserted) is markedly lower so that they are decidedly fuzzy when printed.
The images are standard jpegs (not progressive) with resolution set at 300dpi.
I've searched for options that might address this - without success. In particular I played with the option that allows you to display onscreen at lower resolution, but that's not causing the problem - it's the output version intended for a physical printer rather than the web.
Any ideas about what's going on and how to resolve it would be appreciated.
