Hi
I have an Indesign document which contains images. The image originals are a variety of different sizes and resolutions although mostly 150dpi RGB.
The images in the Indesign document have been scaled (dimensions changed), all to different sizes. Is there an easy way to resize the originals to match the Indesign document image dimensions.
I want to provide a final pdf file for web use, so I think nearly all image originals will be reduced in resolution. I want the pdf file to be a small as possible but retain max quality.
Do I even need to worry about the image originals having large file sizes if making a pdf??
Thanksyou for any advice

Hi

I don't think there is any way to do this in InDesign.

You can right click on the image and select "Edit Original"

You can then resize the original to the size it is used in InDesign but it will open it in Photoshop or what ever your image editing program is.

But you will still have to do them one at a time.

...image resampling is performed in the PDF export stream, controlled in the pdf export settings dialog, no need to be resizing images manually...
