Resizing cell comments causes Freeze.

Hi,

I use comments a lot in Excel 2002 on WinXP. Often, when resizing the comment ballon so I can see all the notes, the whole program freezes, causing the whole computer to freeze. I would have thought this more of a window related issue but Excel is definitely the only time this happens.

Any ideas???

My first suggestion is to reinstall Microsoft Office. Of couse if you have an older PC/laptop make sure that your hardware meets Office's HCL.

before going through the hassle of uninstalling/reinstalling, run a detect and repair. it's found in the help menu.

Thanks for the response guys. I have gone through all of those idease. Repair and re-install. It is weird. Machine is a Dell inspiron 8200 and only 8 mths old so no probs with HCL. Maybe some kind of software conflict. Oh well....
