I have at last produced a beta version of an 11 x 17 inch newsletter which I hope will be scalable to letter size or 8.5 by 11 inches, A4 etc, so that people who want to be able to print up versions at home will be able to do so with very little difficulty.
I'm wondering about the best way to do this with my Indesign document. Here are some guesses I have.
I'm figuring that, if it can be done, the easiest way would be to scale the 11 x 17 doc to a more printable size BEFORE I load it onto MY website. The idea here is that anybody going to the site can simply click on the pdf, press print and NOT have to do any other modifications within their own printer client. Is this possible? If so, how?
Other than that, if this isn't possible, are there any other routes that can taken? My goal is to make it as simple as possible for the client to print up a reduced size version .
Finally, if you happen to know, if most of the font is 11 -12 size on an 11 x 17, do you think the reduced 8.5 x 11 inch version or equivalent should be reasonably readable?
Thanks to Australia's very own marcusStringer for helping me out on the last one.
