Resize Firing on Close

Hi,
I have a window with tabs on it ( that are user objects ) and when I maximize the window and then hit close it fires the resize event again before it closes. This looks very strange and I would like to prevent it from happening.

Any ideas on how to stop this ?

Maybe check the windowstate in the resize event and return if it is 'maximized!'?
