Resize Field by Condition 2

I have no idea whether this is possible or not. I have searched through Google and couldnt find any solutions.

My report has a {?param} which suppressess/shows a specific field (field A). I want the field next to field A to expand horizontally to fill up the area in the report when field A is supressed.

Any ideas?

I think you should add another report section containing the widened field and then conditionally suppress it.

you could add the field next to {Field A} a 2nd time

suppress the (Field A) and the field next to it if the {?param} is met

then the 2nd instance of the 2nd field would be placed over/under the other fields and expanded to the desired width then suppressed if {?param} is not met
