Keeping with the CLAN theme on the previous post.

I have been asked to do resilience testing on our CLAN and IP Agent software.

We have 3 CLAN over 2 sites.

I therefore thought if the CLANs at one site were busied out at one site and the IP Agents could still login and take calls etc.. this would prove our resilience.

Therefore my question is can CLAN's be busied out?

and therefore would the commands be

busyout board xxxxx (where xxxxx is the CLAN location)

To return the board to service would you issue the release board xxxxx command?

I am new to Avaya technology and any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

Cheers

Yes, you can busy them in that manner.

You can also disable them temporarily by doing a cha ip-interface xxxx" and flagging the enable bit to no. The main thing.

You are also correct in your method to release the board.
