resetting voice message system

I have a panasonic processor KX-TDA50 and a voice message KX-TVA50.
I forgot the password for the voice message system how can i reset the TVA50 so i can log in again from my PC?

Oh yea, i need try pressing the reset button in the back but when i connect it to the pc it would not reset the default password to 1234

Not many people change the default password for the USB port login because you have to be there to get into the VM. So, I'm guessing that you didn't install it or that you won't ever change it again.

The quickest way into the box is by doing a system initialize with the dip switches. I think there's a reset that doesn't clear the box, check the manual. If not, you probably know what the next step is: either Panasonic will have to reset it from remote, or you'll have to completely initialize it.

Go to the Site and read the Manual . If it is still unclear what to do, then you need to call a pro, it will save time and money (not to mentiion stress) in the end.

Just guessing here, but if you are a vendor and you haven't read the manual, then you need to find another line of work. You have been given a resource and a suggestion to try. Start by looking in the manual.

never mind..i got it to reset the system from the mode pin...
