Hello everybody,

I got a 3COM SuperStack II 10/100 but I can't have its IP address nor the admin serial cable.

Does a hard solution to reset the switch to its factory default exist ? If so, what is the default IP address of the switch...and the default passwords ?

Thank you for your help.

I have not been able to find a hard reset on the 3Com Superstack II. There is a reset button on the back, but it is just for soft reboots. However, if your switch serves DHCP and you have the ability to sniff the line while a workstation request an ip you should the ip of the switch. Then you could enter through a telnet session and reset the switch that way. As for default passwords you could use security for the user name and security for the pasword that is what the 3com would default to if you reset the device. Hope this helps.
