The language of my dateformat has suddenly changed due to an installation apparently. Now everytime I use SQL I need to at to_date(,'dd.mm.yyyy') just in order for it to understand..otherwise I get invalid month. Now, I heard, the setting can be brought back via a change in the registry. Does anyone know where it is there???

Go to
Control Panel > Regional Options
and change to the required date format there.

nope,

everything is set correctly here! The 5th page of the regional options had the properties of 'Date' and they were all as they should be.

Can you please post a sample of SQL that you are using?
