We have acquired a new customer with a BCM 50 and are unable to access system programing thru Tele-Set programing or thru PC. I know there is a way to reset the password by using the reset button on the BCM. But have fogotten the procedure. I have been told it is the BCM DOCS. I would appreicate any feedback. Thanks

look in the installation guide - that has procedure to default the system (Lvl 1 = user settings default; Lvl 2 = factory default)

Lvl 1 - not sure if keycodes will be there , have keycode info handy

Keycodes are there at Level 1, you lose keycodes and patches at Level 2.

Adversity is Opportunity

thanks dewey for the info... i've never had a chance to do a level 1 reset

Have Nortel reset the password for you so you don't loose all programming. You just need to provide them the systemID.

odd the only time i did a level 2 reset it wiped all the patches are you sure you din`t do a level 1 by mistake..

Sorry,

I was given wrong info.

I just double checked with the tech.

He had only performed a level 1 reset.
