What is the process to reset a user's CDE back to the default?

On a Sunblade 100 using Solaris 8 I have a user that seems to have corrupted their CDE as some of the custom user menu items do not work etc.

Thanks very much,

Michael

You could try (re)moving the ~user/.dt directory and its contents and ~user/.dtprofile. Annihilannic.

Annihilannic, will that force them back to the default?

They still will need to customize it...I just want to get this system's CDE back to square one.

Thanks, Michael

I believe so... in any case if you just move them to different filenames it won't do any harm to try it! Best not to do it while the user is logged in.

You should see them recreated with default values when the user next logs in to CDE. Annihilannic.
