I'm opening a form so its subform has AllowEdits set to No.

A command button in the subform allows the property to be set to Yes in response to a correct password.

How can I reset AllowEdits to No when moving to another record either using the record navigator or when a Finder combo in the main form is changed?

Use the Current event procedure of the subform.

Hope This Helps, PH.

Ah thanks. So that means I don't have to set the subform AllowEdits property to be No as the Current event will do it anyway.

As a supplementary question what event fires in the subform when moving from record to record with the navigation buttons?

That's correct!

Is this a trick question? When moving between Records using the nav buttons the Form_Current event fires!
