resetting administrator password in OS 9

I have a mac running OS 9 and don't know what the administrator password is. Is there a way to reset it without reinstalling the whole system? What is the best way to do this? Thanks for your help!

did you ever figure out how to log in after you forgot your administrator password...i can't log in!!

No, it turns out that somebody had the password. Never had to jump through hoops to figure it out. Good luck.
