I have a couple of devices that are connect to a MUX port that sometimes stop responding. If the MUX is reset by rebooting the server then all is fine.

Can anyone tell me what the command is to reset a MUX port?

Thanks
Tim

Hello:

I don´t know too much about mux ports but perhaps you can use the fuser command or the lsof command to see wich process has the device file open and kill them. If the process that manages the port is respawn he will be started again inmediately after killing it but if it isn´t you should restart it again.

I hope this help,
Mario.
