Hello - This previous post and link explains it:
Question, after i;s reset, what to keep in mind or expect when phone comes up? No specific extension at all? Are phones pre-added to the cisco server so that it works? If it's a matter of comparing settings with another working phone, then it may be ok to do it. But if the phone will be not usable due to other things unknown to me, then it might not be worth it.
Thanks again
