Hi,

I am trying to reset the print area of a workbook I have open but it does not seem to want to work!

I have tried;

1) File --> Printer Area --> Clear Printer Area

2) Selecting all cells before the above.

3) Selecting just the cells I want to print.

4) Opening another workbook and reseting the printer area on that, which works fine!

I think the current settings are locked to the document somehow and I dont know how to get the blasted thing to work!

Any ideas would be fab!

Cheers

Open a workbook where you have a defined a print area and go to Insert, Name, Define. You should see a named range called Print_Area.

ie Print Area is simply a named range.
In the workbook that gives you trouble you are probably unable to change the named ranges because of protection.

Print area has been resetted in the first step. If you think of removing dashed lines - go Tools>Options>View tab. Under 'window option' untick page breaks.
