I inherited a BayStack 310-24T switch from a closed field office. There is noody left that administered the network there and I have no way of finding out the admin password. I want to redeploy this switch in a small lab - is there a way of resetting the switch to the factory defaults without the admin password?

Thanks for your help

hi,

Yes, there is. You need console cable and terminal software (like hyperterminal or mnicom). You can enter boot menu as described on screen during boot procedure. There is an option to clear config.
