I'm using PowerPoint 2007 in compatibility mode for PowerPoint 2000 & 97 to develop a tutorial for software training. Most of the end users will view the show using PowerPoint 97.
Here's my dilema:
Users can click a hyperlinked text box labeled <Previous (it's on the Master slide) to view the slide before the currently displayed slide, but the slide always displays without any of the associated animations. The key to the learning is that all animations must play, and they must be predictable in order for my hair not to fall out. The show has been set up as a kiosk so that the user can't advance without either clicking the correct hyperlinked object, or unless there is an automatic transition on the slide. Here's the goal: show the slide as if it has never been viewed, whether the user fast forwards using the Next> button or reverses using the <Previous button. I would be perfectly willing to try a bit of VBA but I don't know much about the PowerPoint object model.
Thanks in advance!
