Hi,

I have IPO 500 V2, UC modul 8.1 and don't have security password on Manager. I can log to UC modul via browser. Will it "Change root Password" on UC modul also automatically changed security password on IPO 500 V2?

Thanks in advance,
Slobodan

No it will not do that.
The only option is a serial cable and local access.

Thanks for your reply.

I have found this in documentation.

"
If you know the root password:
1. login as root from a console. If using VMware, use vSphere Client to login to the console.
2. service isa stop
3. rm -f /opt/ipoffice/system/primary/security.cfg

If the file /opt/ipoffice/system/primary/SecuritySettings is present, remove it also:
4. rm -f /opt/ipoffice/system/primary/SecuritySettings
5. service isa start
"
So, if I have root password for UC modul, can I use putty and reset security password in this way?

You can't login as root with putty and that's to change the IP Office security settings, not the UC module.

If the docs say it ten go ofr it, do't complain here if it does't work.
We did not design the stuff, we only try to make it work despite all the effords of the designers to make it not work

Reading instructions from a virtual server manual when you have a UCM is very much may/may not/don't ask us territory.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
