I've tried almost eveything to reset my password but nothing works, I've also called IBM ant they told me to send them my Laptop to have my mother board replaced.

If anyone could help me, to find a way to reset it, I would appreciate.

Thanks!!

what is "everything" you have tried?

you will of course need to remove all power...open it up and see if it has a smaller cmos battery...sometimes nickle shaped and mounted directly to the motherboard. Or it can be external with a cable connected to the motherboard.

If there are no jumpers near the batter connection (if you find it) then you just need to remove it and wait.......................................................
sometimes a good long time before the capacitor(s) discharge to reset the cmos.
