reset groupnum

Hi All,
I have two groups 1st is Engineer name and the second is date. I am trying to work out the average number of jobs per day worked by engineer. So I have counted the number of days by using count groupnumber. And counted the number of jobs worked and obviously I have divided these. I get the correct result for the first engineer, the problem is the count groupnumber does not reset for the second engineer. I cannot use a running total on counting the group number. Has anyone ny suggestions?? I have tried to just count a value in by placing a number in the group heading but this does not show up when trying to use a running total.

I think you can use:

count({table.jobID},{table.EngName})/distinctcount({table.date},{table.EngName})
