reset CMOS password for Pavilion N3250 Notebook

Need to reset a CMOS password on a pawnshop aquired HP laptop

hmmmm. Did you have battery on laptop mother bord reset that i.e use small U-pin and connect both side on + - polarity.
I used to do that on old style PC's. I am not sure though that this is the case with new pcs.
