Hi guys!

I would like to know your experience using RES3700 FM and Forecasting.

I've been using MICROS for more than 10 years but for my restaurant P&L I've been using other local software. Does the FM could give me the P&L reports that I might need for my restaurant without going to another software to get that data?

And to be honest, I didn't had the time to play around and see if FM does the drill the way it should.

Have any of you used it before? Do you have a configuration guide that could share?

Thanks a lot guys!

FM and Forecasting are pretty separate. Forecasting was built more for LM in my opinion. It is like any forecaster....only so accurate.
FM i find is great for making custom reports. If you want to use it for a P & L you will need to run every invoice into it through PM. Not ideal. And any report with it is a lot of SQL work. We use it for a weekly snapshot. For your P & L might be better to integrate with your accounting software like Quickbooks. Thats what we do and we have a P & L accurate up to yesterday. If you want more insight let me know

PS....i do have the FM programming guide somewhere...hard copy would need to scan it.

@Wildbar, as usual, nailing it!

Ok, I would like to know if I can give it some use to that module. If it's not worth I wouldn't bother myself configuring it.

I just wanted to be sure that I easily get those financial reports without too much work [upsidedown]

You can poke around in the fm programming.... run FM /cfg from the command line. You used to have a separate license for fm and for fm config. To be honest I have know idea how licensing works with Oracle these days.
