RES3700 4.8 Gift Card Discount

Hello,

I've got a RES3700 system running 4.8 and I'm trying to run a deal this weekend to give 15% off on gift card purchases. Gift cards show up as gratuities, and when I setup the discount and click on it it says "No sales to discount".

Is this something simple that I'm just overlooking?

Generally you cannot Discount gratuties (Same with comping them). You will have to change the way Gift Cards are setup, make a tender media for them.

Yeah that's kind of what I was afraid of. The reason they're setup as a service charge is because we use a host adapter that talks to a third party that we use for our gift cards. It's not something I can change without having to manually add the card through a standalone terminal (which would require swiping it a second time).
