I own a 2 station Micros WS5A system with RES 3700. Everything has been working great. I just purchased off of Ebay, another WS5A workstation from another restaurant which came preloaded with RES 3700 and CAL. I ran CAL and the station rebooted several times and finally appeared to be booting to my order entry screen when suddenly a message popped up saying "OPS Software Not Licensed" and then the program shut down. I looked at my back office, I can see the new workstation on the list along with my other workstations and its check marked green, so I know the back office pc is communicating with it. I have RES 3700 licensed with the dongle plugged into the back of my back office machine. Anyone know why I keep getting the "OPS Software Not Licensed" message on my new "used" workstation?

Thanks!

Do you have a 3700 client license for the new workstation? Each workstation/kds etc needs to be licensed. Used to be about $300 for the client license...but its been awhile since i had to get one.

I don't have a license for the new workstation, bought it off ebay. I looked in my back office "license manager" program and it shows numbers 1 through 5, three of them have license codes, but only 2 of the codes have Green check marks by them.

Then your third machine is not licensed or the code has been entered incorrectly. Doubtful if you have always only had 2 workstations that you would have a licencse for the third. You will need to contact Oracle with your dongle serial number and buy another client license i would think.

Look at the new workstation in the POS Configurator / Devices tab, User Workstations button.
Each workstation has a license code assigned at the bottom of that screen. Make sure the code for your new workstation is one of the codes with a green check in license manager.

Since you are not the original purchaser of that key and want to add a client Micros will Charge you approximately 50% to Re-license the original foundation (server) and the two clients then also
the current retail of the third client.

I may have a 5 client key with codes on ebay currently for much less if that helps you out.
