Hello all, I've a problem at a customer site with a T1 circuit that was disconnected, and no one knows why. I need to route the outgoing call traffic to another route. I'm not at all versed on NARS & BARS, and I need a somewhat simple solution to re-route the outgoing calls. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

First you need to know what route number the original and the alternate route will be.

Next, go to LD 86 and print out all RLIs
Req: Prt
Feat: RLB
RLI: <cr>

Now take your printout and find any RLI entry 0 that has the route that is down - you will change this entry to the route that works. Keep the printout so you can put it back.

Or you could add an entry for next choice to go out over the route that works - if this t1 goes down again they will have an alternate route for calls.

LD 86
Req: CHG
Feat: RLB
RLI: <-- enter the RLI number to change
Entry: <-- enter the entry number to change probably 0 or to add probably 1
Rout: enter the route number to route calls to.

If you are adding an entry respond to the rest of the prompts with the same info as on the other entry.
If you are changing the route enter the rest of the way.

Repeat for each RLI with the route that doesn't work

Test - if fails you get a call can not be completed as dialed look for the DMI prompt in the entry changed or added. you may need to make this 0. Some carriers do not like to see the 1 when dialing long distance and the DMI entry could be used to remove that.

Print DMI info in LD 86
Req: PRT
FEAT: DGT
DMI: <cr> or enter DMI number
