Dear all,

Mp PBX uses 4 digit extensions. However, when your run a LIST TRACE STAT XXXX, you will see the calling name and number, but there is a prefix 751-XXXX attached. How is this prefix set? I need this because i have a number series 6XXX which cannot call through trunk groups tied to a Cisco Router, but all other XXXX numbers can call through the tie.

The only difference is when I run a trace, I do not see the 751-6XXX number, but only 6XXX.

Thanks.

What someone has done for you is to add a prefix that builds out your extension ranges to 7 digits to simulate a 7 digit dial plan. It allows you a bit more control over your extension ranges, by not needing to route on the first dialed digit.

Enter the: list aar analysis
command.

You'll see that numbers built out with 751 as a prefix are sent to a particular routing plan.

Carpe dialem! (Seize the line!)
