Require help on Partial Selection of text in Data Field Object

Hi All,
I'm working Centura 2000 and Sybase.
How can I programaticaly select Partial Text in a Data
Field Object.

Example:
Say in a Data Field I'm already having a value
"How are you?".
What I want is how can I programaticaly select the
"are you?" in the data field, so that user need not
have to press delete / backspace button to delete the
text, he will have to just type in the required text.
