Require a Photo Gallery CMS integrated into website ?

here is a website for my client,

the gallery page is actually a link to a pwigo site which itself requires a log in.

i actually want to have thumbnailed images displayed neatly on the page so that a user can click it and a pop up window appears so the user can view it.

Is there a script or software that can allow me to do this ? I dont want to use pwigo as its seperate to the website itself.

I Want my client therefore, to be able to add his own images onto the website - and i need to know what CMS out there will allow him to achieve this with relative ease.

The images must simply display on the bsplumbers gallery page.

Lots of them, Coppermine, Gallery are designed as photo gallery scripts. Joomla, Wordpress, Drupal ALL have gallery extensions available.

As Chris says, there are plenty of image gallery systems that you could use to do this:

However, what happens when you decide to add some other feature to the site that the client would like to update himself? Another self-contained script with its own username and password?

So I'd suggest you move the whole site over to a CMS that incorporates (or can incorporate) image gallery functionality, and has scope for further expansion in the future. Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla, etc. there are plenty to choose from. Personally I'd go for Wordpress, but only because that's the system I'm most familiar with.

okay Chris - very well.

I was intending to do this - but it appears my hosting provider is preventing me from installing or running joomla the way i intend to.

see my other thread chris , where ive complained about joomla not being installed correctly etc.

ive posted a new reply there and i need your help/advice/guidance.

Unlikely, because there is no predermined install method for Joomla, but based on the other thread their ineptness may be causing problems but I doubt it is "by design".

Perhaps you should attempt to install and run Joomla the way that Joomla intends. Uncompressing a file directly on a server is not the only way to install. Read the Joomla install docs.

While I'm a Drupal guy, I second Chris' suggestion for WordPress. It is probably the most accessible for new CMS users.
