Since it's quiet here, and since I am interested in what people think...

Would you like to pass comments on my site?

There is no real purpose to this other than to satisfy my own curiousity :)

Well, the page doesn't render perfectly on my I.E. 5.5....
There are defects on the left side of the white area consistent with the positioning of the title graphic and that foamiest of cows you have there.

And you really need some content under your top 'rants' link - always good for a read, those!

Is it intentional that the bit under the Whoohoo! heading should start half way down the page, rather than be at the top?

Other than that, 'tis OK!

Regards, Andy.

I need to get a screenie of the site in IE5.5 I think.
Sounds like it is indeed rendering incorrectly.

As for the rants.. I've been quite chilled lately ;-)

Andy,

What OS are you using?
I checked the site with browsercam and it appears to look OK with IE5.5

It only breaks a little bit with IE4.0

Foamcow, I'm using Win98SE, with the latest upgrade of IE available without going to 6. I'm a bit of a die-hard, really, but I run a lean, clean install here and don't install anything unnecessary.
I have had to endure the idea that I will have to upgrade the browser eventually though, as additional XHTML features become mainstream......

I'll get my son to check the site on WIN XP/IE6 and see how things look there - the problem is starting to look as though it is peculiar to my system. :)

Regards, Andy.

FoamDawg-

The only thing I noticed (the last time you asked for a site review), was some peculiarity with the right-side content on three of the pages. I never brought it to your attention, because it's minute, but since you're bored, I'll let you in on it.

Home, About, and Rant all appear one way. Work, Links, and Contact are slightly skewed. Everything on the right side, from your eyes down, is pushed over maybe 3 pixels, therefore creating the illusion of movement when browsing from any of the first three pages to any of the last three pages.

Soon, I'll have one of my many sites on a production server and will post them for the public and yourself to mock.

Thanks all

I don't think I have asked for a review in the past... then again, I do have a bad memory :)

I've not noticed that pixel shift before, I can't see it in Firefox but I see what you mean when I use IE.

Interesting.. I will take a look.

Hey-

Maybe you didn't ask before. I might have just browsed over from your link in your signature on one of the endless occasions I was bored at work.

Glad to help...

Lookin' good. The only improvement I can think of is that when you're looking at an individual "Rant" page, it'd be good to have links to the next/previous one.

With that colour scheme, maybe you should rename yourself "easyCow"...

Hmm, yeah "next, previous" might be good.

I'm working on some other content at the moment though and I nearly have my gallery script sorted too (see latest rant).

I've got some issues over the logic of the page structure but I'm gradually getting those sorted as it becomes more apparent what I want to do with the site.

I like orange ;-)
