Hi I think this was done a while ago, but could I re-post this again.

It would really help us all to help you when you ask a question (unless its just so obvious) to give us at least the below information.


1> system type: MD, BP eg
2> software: bc9 , 10, 11 etc
3> What is the problem: In as clear and concise as you can.
4> Additional information: has it happened before, have you had an upgrade, removed a card etc
5> what you have done: what checks you have done to proove the fault
6> any printouts
7> if CCM/DNA etc, which version
8> a clear subject/thread question

some good examples:

Question: hi, my bc10 system wont dump, I am getting a class 4 alarm, which says "error xxxxx yyyyy zzzz", this is the first time it has happened. I dont know any commands to check this.

yes, it's reasonable.
But, to go further, we can propose a request to admin of this site to create a form, like yours, to question? Some extended version of form on

http://www.ericsson.com

for quests? Not like just a blank field. And no problem. But, of course, keeping a privacy!!!

I was actually thinking about that. But dont know how much trouble it would be.

On some other technical bulletin boards they have whats known as "stickies", that is, the first post you see at the top, is a read only thread.

It "may" be possible for a similar one here, to read (for example) Hints and Tips before posting a question.

If anyone wants to propose that to Admin, I'd be happy to write up a properly written list of question's etc
