request a sample jsp

I want to write a home page with jsp. one is for login purpose, the other is for list out the holiday that the staff take. I know that there should be cookie or some control technology to enfore the client the login before go to the holiday home page. can someone give me an example of this coding?

how come i write a search code in jsp .... it must search for the word in the database. And here i use two data bases ..... ms access and oracle .... both on diffrent servers ... so here i need the search code to search in both the data bases ...... and produce all the results in the entire database.

I suspect both access and oracle support the ANSI SQL syntax of "SELECT * FROM WORD_TABLE WHERE WORD_FIELD = 'myword'"

You need to use JDBC to connect to the databases, and execute some SQL. Try the jdbc tutorial at
