I have a Form based on a query which consists of data from Orderhead and customer. I also have a button for adding new customers into the customers table. This is done with an another form. When I close the "addCustomer"-form it returns the customer number to the original form (customer-field), but the problem is that the form query isn't updated so I can't go futher entering data as Access says "The Microsoft Jet database engine can't find a record in the table 'Customer' with matching field(s) 'Customer'".

I have tried to update, requery, refresh and a lot of other things, but without any success. Can anyone help???

Thanks!

Dear Cassiopeia,

did you check whether the record is actually added to your table?

please post the 2 sql-statements .

regards Astrid
