Reproting Services is installed - now what?

I have not had time to upgrade the training for reporting services, but it should not be that bad (I know MS has some free online training).

Here is the question - I downloaded some of the msi files from here

and ran them on the server (signon is domain admin) and now I can not find the samples - any ideas where they go?

Did you previously use Business Objects? I am looking for someone that might have some comparison experiences with the two systems. Any luck???

I have been using Crystal for YEARS and it will still have a place in the company for a while although will die eventually.

On the other hand, SSRS is GREAT. Took me a little while to get use to it and took me finding the right 'leg up' and training... but that did the trick.

watch out for the persons 'language' (a few mild swear words that you would not hear in a MS course - hey - it is FREE) AND one of the demos features a picture of a company called 'chicks on bikes' (or similar)... needless to say my female office mate wondered why I was openly displaying a beauty on a motorcycle, but HR & my wife did not need to know.

SO - even though I had ASP pages for my Crystal reports and HUNDREDS of reports that would run in the back ground (distributing to the correct users and such) the move to SSRS (since we are already licensed for it) gives me some flexibility to allow the users to design the reports without me having to buy them a seperate license of Crystal OR have me write the reports.

There are also programs that will convert Crystal reports to SSRS, BUT I found it was almost easier to redo them on my own. The programs only went part of the way and it would be just as long for me to re-write the reports as to figure out what the program converted and what it could not (ymmv).
