OK. I know that this is a really basic question, but I'm a newbie and I've spent far too long trying to figure it out.

We have a Merlin Legend with a MLX-20L. We recently dropped two outside (GS) lines and I now need to reprogram the console to account for this. (If anyone has an extra copy of the Windows software CD he/she is willing to sell cheap, let me know.)

I think everyone if in a single group. When someone calls out, which trunk used is random. If the person gets one of the two disconnected lines, it just goes dead and they have to try again. How do I program the console to not use these lines?

On a related issue, about 25 percent of the time when people call out, they hear an operator tellin then they have "reached a private network." I don't think it's the telco. So any guesses?

Thanks in advance.

You need to take those lines out of the pool. Most likely pool 70.Also those lines need to be removed from the operator console. What are the line numbers.(801,802,803...?)
The private network issue has to be narrowed down to what lines they are using. Make calls from the operator console on each line to see what line is causing that. Most likely a c.o. issue.
