I have a database in access and the field I have defined as a number of type standard, in my vb program I have the value which I save to this field defined as a variant. When I save this variant value which is a decimal it looses its decimal point, why? and how do I fix it???
thanks in advance!

Check the properties of the field in the table. It needs to be one of the types which support the "decimal" (Single, Double, Currency). the default for number type is "Long Integer" which, is does NOT support "decimal" values.
