Hi All,

In regard to the Crystal Repository, is this just for storing functions, or can all formulae be saved there. If so how do you go about it, are there any goos tutorials on how to use it, as most of the crystal stuff i've read so far is far from conclusive..

Thanks in advance

After a bit of snooping, i've got to grips with the repository. Is it the case though that only text, image and functions can be added. Is it the case that formulae can't? Obviously formulae could be saved into a text field and uploaded, but any changes to formulae cannot be changed automatically as is the case with objects saved in the repository..which seems to be a little bit lacking in sharing business logic

You are right. The documentation is not good. Formulas cannot be saved directly. You have to create a Business view and add it there and then access it.

You can add custom functions to the repository. A custom function is just your formula logic extracted out and any database fields are replaced with variables. You save the custom functions to the repository and other users can pull them down to use in their formulas.

You can save Text Objects, Bitmaps, Customr Functions, SQL Commands, and Business Views to the repository.
