Hi everybody

I need know a metadata description. The metadata is generated by PowerDesigner WorkSpace. I have a multiple databases connections (DB2 and ORACLE) and I have been creating metadata in this workspace. I need centralize all metadatas and recognize the changes on all databases.

This information (metadata description) not is available on help information and sybase web site, i need know where are this information or a book to specify metadata with PowerDesigner.

Excuse me, but my english not is very good, i speak more italian and spanish, i hope you undertand my question.

Hello Maria.

What version of PowerDesigner are you using and where have you saved the meta data? Is this data in the notes you attach to items or is it some other data. If you wish to merge workspaces I would add the models to a single workspace. If you want to track changes between models you can simply apply the models merge between models of the same DB type. If you need acces to time based changes (versioning,branch management) and the need to query metadata have you considered using the Metaworks repository?
